Zotus City does not set its own compensation methodology. Land evaluation, valuation and compensation for affected land interests are conducted in accordance with the guidelines and processes of the Ghanzi Land Board, applying Botswana's applicable land administration and valuation framework.

Zotus City Development Group supports this process through cooperation, information sharing and funding of the compensation process. Final valuation and compensation determinations rest with the Ghanzi Land Board and the relevant government authorities, not with Zotus City.

Where resettlement of land interests is required, it will likewise be carried out in accordance with the Ghanzi Land Board's process and applicable Botswana law. The programme's intention is that any resettlement be preceded by consultation, fair compensation determined through the Land Board process, and reasonable notice.

Specific resettlement arrangements, the number of affected households, if any, and timing are to be confirmed as the land process progresses. This is general information about how the process is expected to work. It is not a resettlement plan and does not constitute a legal commitment.

Any affected person who wishes to query or appeal a land evaluation or compensation determination should raise this directly through the Ghanzi Land Board's own established process, as the responsible statutory authority. This page does not replace or override that process.
